SAANZ National Fly-In 2026

 The Sport Aircraft Association of New Zealand (SAANZ) is holding their annual fly-in over the weekend, the venue changes every year and this year it was at Masterton, great for me as only a 2-hour drive away.

So I departed early this morning to get over there, weather wasn't the best in Kapiti and didn't really pick up on the journey till not far out from Masterton.

Oh well, most of the aircraft turned up yesterday with only a few extra today. A very good turnout though in the end and got plenty of pictures.

Whanganui Airport Open Day 2026

 Every year Whanganui Airport hosted by the Wanganui Aero Club in conjunction with the Whanganui Vintage weekend have an open day at the airport. Each year seems to get better and this year seemed to keep the trend!

It was a partial overcast day, but with quite strong winds which I would assume led to the cancellation of the Electra and Trojan for the event.

Nonetheless there was still heaps of aircraft present, with some nice displays and vintage aircraft to gaze over.
