Kapiti Airport 28-02-2022

 A beautiful day on the coast today which meant a quick visit out to Kapiti Airport and there were a few visitors that popped in whilst I was out there:

Rangitikei Helicopters' Bell 206B ZK-IDG popping in for fuel after doing a job in the south island.

Piper PA-28 ZK-DEK taxiing in after arriving from Ardmore, later continuing on south back home to Ashburton.

Wellington Aero Club's Piper PA-38 ZK-WAC, taxiing in after arriving from Wellington.

Foxpine 27-02-2022

 It's that time of the month again where Foxpine holds a BBQ Lunch Fly-In, one held every last Sunday of the month.

Bit a blustery morning at Kapiti, but wind calmed down to nothing when approaching near Foxpine, the wind did pick up a bit during the day, but otherwise was a beautiful day!

"Twosday" visit out to Kapiti

 A visit out to Kapiti Airport this afternoon on a very sunny day proved to be quite busy with a few visitors

Sunair's Piper PA-23 ZK-DIR was back again looking at the 2 local Aztecs.

Massey University of Aviation's Diamond DA.42 ZK-MTR popped in for fuel on way home.

A very nice surprise to see, Pitts Model 12 ZK-PTS down from its base at North Shore. This later continued on south.

Massey University of Aviation's Diamond DA.40 ZK-MTJ down for a touch and go.

Lastly our 2 local Aztecs both out in the sun for the first time in several years. Closer one being ZK-DIO and further being ZK-TCL, rumour is both are going to Sunair as spares.

Kapiti Airport 20-02-2022

 An overcast day at Kapiti today, but that didn't stop a couple of visitors stopping in.

Cessna T206H ZK-JTK arriving direct from Queenstown, before continuing on to Ardmore. 

Sikorsky S-76B ZK-IBI arriving from Ardmore for fuel.

Fuel uplifted, now departing to continue on south,

Kapiti Airport 15-02-2022

A visit out to Kapiti Airport this afternoon, turned in to quite the eventful afternoon with a few things happening, here are the pics I got anywhere:

Yakovlev Yak-52 ZK-YRA popping in for fuel on delivery up to New Plymouth from Rangiora

Sunair Aviation's Piper PA-23 ZK-DIR departing back to Tauranga (more on this movement down below)

Cessna R182 ZK-LAB parked up after arriving from Ardmore earlier that day.

The reason for the Piper PA-23 visitor (That is all assumption) seems to be to have a look at the resident Aztecs that have been in hiding for many years (ZK-DIO and ZK-TCL (Which is now kept outside)). Could possibly be meaning that this 2 could be doing something at long last, although ZK-DIO looked quite run down. Time will tell!

Hamilton visit 14-02-2022

 A quick visit up to Hamilton today proved to be quite the trip. Of course stopping off at Taupo to have a look on the way to and from was in order!

Had an nice afternoon outing to Feilding and Palmerston North this afternoon. Main purpose of the visit was to catch the A320Neo coming in from Auckland on an MIQ transfer charter flight.
