New year and a day off work on a beautiful day, meant having to surely do a road trip round various airfields. So that's exactly what I ended up doing yesterday.
6am start and got to the first airfield of Taupo about 10am. A few things happening, here is what I saw:

Next stop of the day was Rotorua where it was absolutely dead, only one visiting aircraft ZK-SXO Air Tractor AT-602 was in sight. Did have local ZK-ILF Airbus Helicopters AS 350 B2 do an overfly on its scenic flight.
Back at Taupo for the last stop of the day and was quieting down, but a few things still happening, here is what was different from the morning:
