I was out at Kapiti Airport at 8:30am for the flight out to Waipukurau in ZK-MWM, quite cloudy from Levin up to Palmerston North, but we found a gap in the clouds and got over the hills and once past Woodville the cloud broke to a beautiful blue sky. We were the 2nd to arrive at Waipukurau just behind ZK-CFT. In the end the official count of 41 aircraft attended (I counted 45 though) and was a great day out.
Shortly after 1pm we hopped back in to ZK-MWM to head back home, after fixing a little door issue mid air (Which resulted in a return to Waipukurau) we got on our way to climb to 6,500ft straight over Palmerston North back in to Kapiti.
