Todays plan was to visit fields around the Auckland area, first stop was Whenuapai after having breakfast at Auckland. the gliders seemed to be starting to get into action as I got there, this is what I noted:

I did try a stop at Kaipara Flats but was sadly stopped by a locked gate upon arrival.
Had a bit of spare time, so went and found the Spitfire and Zero in the Auckland War Memorial Museum.
Todays plan is going home via fields like Ardmore, maybe Mercer, Hamilton and Taupo. Hopefully being a weekday there will be some maintenance hangars open to see into.
